A clear slice of sky
South-ish is nice, but open sky matters more. Ridges and timber in the Ozarks are the usual fight.
Installation
Phone first. Drive out if you're stuck.
I'll walk you through DIY install on the phone. If you're stuck, I'll come out.
Most kits go up in an afternoon if the sky is open. I'll stay on 573-238-8632 while you aim, mount, and plug it in. If the pole, trees, or roof fight you, I'll come out around Eminence, Missouri.
A solid mount
Pole, roof, or rail. Plumb, tight, and high enough to see past the treeline. Don't trust a wobbly fence post.
Power close by
House kit wants regular 110. Mini can live on 12V in a camper or on a bike with the right setup.
What I will not do
I won't quote Starlink's hardware price or promise a speed. I won't climb a rotten roof. I won't take your Starlink password. I will talk you through aiming, cable runs, and whether a pole beat a roof on your place.
